Thesis title: Self-decontamination of Personal Protective Clothing using nano finish
My thesis is focused on optimizing finish formulation and condition of application to have a robust N-halamine-based self-decontaminating solution against bacteria and viruses for PPE and other functional clothing. This will include looking at the effect of the polymer application and recharge treatments on the fabric strength, colour, and basic flame resistance, the efficiency in terms of biocidal activity (antibacterial and virucidal), and the durability (resistance to UV, laundering, abrasion, and perspiration for instance).
