Thesis topic: Supporting Quality and Longevity in Alberta Family Day Homes
My primary research goal is to describe the challenges that prevent day home providers from offering high-quality care, identify any barriers they face, and note which strengths or supports have been useful in helping them navigate those obstacles. My goal is to provide research-based policy recommendations that will enable Early Childhood Educators in providing excellent care, increase their satisfaction and longevity in the field, and ultimately grow the number of reliable, nurturing day home providers in Alberta. Doing so will support parents, their children, and our communities in achieving optimal well-being for the very future of Alberta.
